Whatever the trip, whatever the equipment, one company handles it.
From a single doctor's appointment to a standing dialysis schedule to a long-distance transfer across the state, Premiere Healthcare gets you there safely and on time.
Eight ways we get people to their care
Every one of them is non-emergency medical transportation. If you are facing a medical emergency, call 911. We are not an ambulance service.
Medical Appointment Transport
The everyday backbone of what we do. Check-ups, specialists, imaging, lab work, physical therapy, wound care, infusion visits and post-operative follow-ups.
- Pickup scheduled at least an hour before your appointment
- Driver assists from your front door to the clinic door
- We wait for short appointments, or return at an agreed time
- A companion or caregiver can ride with you
Hospital Discharge Rides
Discharges rarely happen when the paperwork says they will. Call us when the release is signed and we will come, whatever hour it is.
- Short-notice and after-hours pickups
- Wheelchair and stretcher options for patients who cannot sit up
- Help with belongings, equipment and prescriptions
- We see the patient inside and settled, not just to the kerb
Dedicated Dialysis Transit
Dialysis is three days a week, every week, and the ride home matters as much as the ride there. We build a standing schedule so nobody has to rebook a hundred times a year.
- A fixed weekly schedule you do not have to rebook
- Familiar drivers who know your routine
- Quiet, unhurried rides home after treatment
- Direct coordination with your treatment centre
Wheelchair Accessible Transportation
Purpose-built vehicles with powered lifts. You stay in your own chair for the whole journey, so there is no risky transfer at either end.
- Powered lift, no ramps to be pushed up
- Four-point securement for the chair and a separate belt for you
- Room for a companion to travel alongside
- Manual and most powered chairs accommodated
Oxygen Therapy Transport
Travelling with oxygen should not mean travelling alone. Our drivers are trained to help you board and settle without disturbing your supply.
- Secure positioning for portable cylinders and concentrators
- Drivers trained to assist without handling your equipment carelessly
- Unhurried boarding, with time to get comfortable
- Please tell us about your oxygen when you book
Special Needs Transportation
Patient, unhurried service for passengers living with dementia, autism, developmental disabilities or significant frailty, and for the families who care for them.
- Calm, consistent drivers wherever possible
- Caregivers and family always welcome to ride along
- Extra time built into every stage of the trip
- Tell us what helps, and we will do it that way
Group Medical Transportation
For assisted living communities, adult day programs and care facilities: several passengers, one coordinated run, one point of contact.
- Multi-passenger vehicles with mixed seating and wheelchair positions
- Recurring schedules for day programs and clinics
- A single coordinator who knows your residents
- Consolidated billing for facilities
Long-Distance Medical Transport
When treatment takes you to Tampa, Miami, Orlando or beyond, you should not have to arrange three separate rides to get there.
- Door-to-door across Florida and beyond
- Planned rest and comfort stops on longer routes
- The same driver stays with you for the trip
- Quoted in advance, with no surprises after
The vehicle is chosen to fit the passenger, not the other way round.
When you book, we ask how you travel: walking, with a walker, in your own wheelchair, or on a stretcher. That answer decides which vehicle and which driver comes.
Ambulatory and walker
A steady arm, a low step and help with the seat belt.
Wheelchair
Powered lift and four-point securement. You stay in your own chair.
Stretcher
For passengers who cannot sit upright for the journey.
Oxygen on board
Secure positioning for cylinders and portable concentrators.
Questions people ask us
How far in advance should I book?
For routine appointments, 24 to 48 hours gives us the best chance of matching your preferred time. Standing schedules, like dialysis, can be set up once and left alone.
That said, we take same-day and short-notice requests every day, including hospital discharges at unsociable hours. Call us and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
What time should I be picked up?
We recommend booking your pickup for at least one hour before your appointment time. It absorbs traffic and boarding time, and it means you arrive composed rather than rushed.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
Yes. There is room for a companion in every vehicle, and for many passengers it makes the whole trip easier. Just tell us when you book so we reserve the seat.
Do you take Medicaid or insurance?
Coverage depends on your specific plan and on the kind of trip. When you request a ride, tell us how you intend to pay and we will check the details with you before the day of travel rather than leave it to chance.
Private pay is always welcome, and we will quote you the cost up front.
Are you an ambulance service?
No. We provide non-emergency medical transportation. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911. We are for planned and scheduled trips where you need help getting there safely, not urgent clinical care on the way.
How far will you travel?
Our core service area is Collier and Lee County. We also run long-distance transfers across Florida and beyond when treatment takes you further, quoted in advance.
Not sure which service you need?
Tell us about the trip and we will tell you what fits. No obligation, and no charge for asking.
